We begin the New Year sharing a video that was shared with us by a very special person. Gary has been part of our lives since he took art in 8th grade in 1984. It was Dave’s first year of teaching. Gary has brought so much inspiration and enrichment to our lives over these many years through his incredible talent in music and visual arts, his phenomenal intelligence, his compassion, loyalty, respect and, most of all, his friendship.
When we both began our teaching careers we felt that if we touched the life of just one child, we would be successful. We found the fulfillment was not in the difference we hopefully have made in our students lives, but the difference our students have made in our life.
Gary has shifted roles from our student to our teacher. He has bravely and patiently ushered us into the technological age. He is the backbone of our online presence. He spends much time from his professional career to be our techno guide, business advisor, and personal counselor. We are so lucky to have you Gary. Thank you.
